What is Reiki ?
Reiki is a Japanese method of energy healing. Oftentimes, we internalize stressors in our lives and they can manifest as physical or emotional ailments. Reiki allows the body to return to its optimal energy flow, which naturally promotes healing. After a reiki session you may feel more relaxed, less pain, clarity, or emotional release. Please note for physical and mental conditions, reiki is a complementary therapy meant to work alongside medical treatment, not replace it.
What is Yin Yoga?
Yin is a moving meditation utilizing asana (postures) in conjunction with Chinese medicine. We hold postures for two to five minutes, moving deeply into the fascia tissue (the connective tissue). Yin operates off the parasympathetic nervous system which has benefits such as lowering the heart rate, muscle relaxation, aiding in digestion, fighting infection, increasing immunity, and releasing endorphins to name a few. Yin is a very gentle practice suitable for beginners.
What is Yinyasa?
This class is a hybrid of active yoga & passive yoga. In the first portion of our class we will practice some gentle movements, then we will transition to slower more passive movements to create flexibility, mindfulness and softness. This is a gentle practice suitable for beginners.
